Camile I dump Oliver off at the house so he can tend to Jimmy Chew. Then I head to the station to meet Mark, only to find he’s tied up in another meeting. The frustration slowly creeps in as I pace the hall outside of his office, gnawing at my lower lip while trying to make sense of the evidence, trying to sort everything out in my mind. The medical examiner hadn"t been able to find any evidence of restraint on the victim"s body, even though all twenty fingers and toes had been broken before death. "It makes no sense," I mumble under my breath.
