"Nic, what will you have tonight for dinner?" I asked softly. Nic was watching his cartoon movie after finishing his schoolwork. He was a very smart kid. I used to spend time with Nic and help him with completing his school assignments. This would make me a good and responsible mother in Domenic's eyes.
"Mom, can I have pizza?" Nic insisted.
"Okay, my sweetie pie," I smiled. He loved pizza.
Dom had made my Nico just like him.
"Really, Mom?!" He grinned. I nodded.
"So, can we go out to dinner today?" He looked at me, pleading.
If it were any other day, I would have agreed. But tonight I had some other plans.
"Baby, how about we order your favorite pizza with extra cheese at home?" I suggested.
Nic beamed, "Okay!"
He was such a good kid, always obeying me.
