Sam sighed. He knew there was no arguing with Lee when the man was in alpha mode. Not that Sam wanted to argue. Yes, Sam was a responsible, professional man—Lee had acknowledged as much—but he couldn’t deny Lee taking care of him touched a need deep inside. Two trips from the car later, Lee announced he’d brought everything in and had locked both the BMW and the front door. “Thanks.” Sam started to stand. Then he realised he’d have to step wet-footed across the kitchen floor to dry his feet. But as ever, Lee was ahead of him. “Sit down again, I’ll get you a towel.” “You don’t need to do this,” Sam told Lee when the man knelt in front of him again and lifted his right foot out of the water. “Need to check them.” Sam’s feet felt fine to him; the Epsom salts had helped ease the soreness
