Tiffany ignored the f-bomb-laced comments, stepped off her skateboard at the end of the walk, opened the door to the stairwell, and she and dog disappeared into the gloomy interior. The woman slammed her own door and Sam was left wondering if he’d suddenly entered an alternate reality.
