Eleventh Chapter
This thought kept tormenting his soul
Alessandro was waiting just outside the gate of the Kepak's house for Elio, Ercole, Libero and Gaia. He did not want to get into the house alone. He had spent the afternoon in bed. He kept thinking about what had happened when he was scuba diving and about that monster he had seen by the old lady's house that night...
There they were. Gaia looked prettier than ever whilst she was joking with her cousins under moonlight.
"Hey." greeted Libero. "Scared of going in on your own?"
"I'm just embarrassed. I wouldn't know what to say the old lady." replied Alessandro.
Elio squeezed his hand and thanked him.
The kids walked past him along the pathway. Gaia grabbed him by the hand and whispered: "Let's get in."
