A spiral staircase to the infinite
Days went by and Gaia did not realise that she was neglecting her group of friends. Instead, she was spending her days helping out her auntie and supporting Elio, who had become even more pensive. They had never been that close before.
One morning, whilst she was in the henhouse at the back of the farm to collect some eggs, she heard a weird whistle coming from afar. She put the wicker basket down, got out and looked around.
Alessandro was leaning on the fence and was smiling at her. Gaia quickly cleaned her hands on her jeans, fixed her hair and walked towards him. She was extremely glad to see him.
"Hi."
"Hi, where have you been lately? I haven't seen you since that night. I was slightly worried considering how things had been."
