Red wolves

Packs have a thing called territories, like their piece of land.  Fortunately for the Shadow Moon Pack, it’s big enough for all the members. Unfortunately for Bethany and Sebastian, it’s huge! Moving from one place to another is a drag for them. They have been walking for more than 10 minutes and they still haven't reached the arena. How do they get this much land anyway? She turned to Randolph who was walking beside her. "How did your pack get this much land?" Randolph pondered for a while. "Well, when my ancestors found this place, it was a no man's land. He started building his pack here. It wasn't always this big, it was quite small then, only a few miles away from the packhouse. But then as time grew, and our pack started expanding, the Alphas started merging with smaller wolf packs around them and taking their land with it. So after a hundred years, we have what we have today.' Bethany hummed in acknowledgment. "But what if one of the smaller packs don't want to merge?" "From the archives, it said that they let them be." Bethany nodded. After walking from the packhouse to the arena, Bethany’s legs were already getting tired. But she immediately felt fine when Randolph's hold her hand. She looked at him and he flashed her a dazzling smile. Bethany looked away, hiding her blush. Randolph just laughs which made Bethany blushed harder. When they walked into the arena, the seats were already full of werewolves. They cheered as they walked to the center. "ALL RIGHT!!!" A voice boomed and all head turned to the voice and saw James. "TODAY! WE HAVE A SPARRING CONTEST OVER OUR ALPHA RANDOLPH AND HIS SISTER, RAMONA!!!!" James's voice boomed. "CONTESTANTS!!! COME FORWARD." He said and Audrey and Audel went forwards first. The whole arena was filled with boos and when Bethany and Sebastian walked in, the arena cheered. "Before sparring, my brother and I have a deal to offer to Luna and her brother!" Audrey shouted. Bethany and Sebastian raised a brow but otherwise stay quite. "Our deal is that the winner will be the new mates for Alpha Randolph and Ramona!" She shouted and everybody gasped. "What about the losers?" Bethany asked. "Why? Admitting your a loser so soon?" Audel mocked. "Oh no, I was just wondering what will happen to you after the fight's over," Bethany replied calmly and the crowd roared with laughter. Audel face turned red in anger before they smirked. "The loser will be banished from the pack," Audrey said and the crowd went silent. Then Bethany heard Randolph and Ramona growled. ‘Tempting, but I’m not losing today if it means losing Randolph.’ Bethany growled in her head. "Fine. Good luck then." Sebastian said. Audrey and Audel spread their legs, ready to jump at the Lloyd twins while the Lloyd twins were just standing there, feeling bored. "Ready, set, SPAR!!!!" James announced and quickly walked away. Audrey and Audel let out a battle cry and ran toward Bethany and Sebastian but they just stood there. Bethany saw Audrey smirked liked she already knew she's gonna won and ran faster towards Bethany. From the corner of Bethany’s eyes, she saw a lot of sad faces, some even not looking at the fight, fearing for the worst. But when Audrey and Audel were just a few steps away from Bethany and Sebastian, Bethany and Sebastian smirked and when Audrey and Audel took one more step, Bethany and Sebastian sidestepped and held out their legs. Audrey and Audel stumbled and growled at them. Bethany held out an invisible cloak and yelled. "Venga toro! Venga!" The pack started to look at the spar again and cheered. Audrey charged at Bethany and she swiftly dodged her. She did a perfect turn and faced the crowd. "Ole!" She yelled and waved to the crowds. "OLE!!" They cheered back. The spar went like this. Audrey and Audel charged and the Lloyd twins dodged. The crowd was getting more excited each time Audrey and Audel missed, cheering. When the Lloyd twins saw that Audrey and Audel were breathing heavily they knew that it was time. Bethany looked at Sebastian and he smirked then nodded. When Audrey and Audel charged again, their fist only inches way from Bethany and Sebastian’s faces, they used one hand to blocked their fist. Audrey and Audel tried pulling their fist back but failed so they resulted in using their other fist to punch but Bethany and Sebastian grabbed that too. The Lloyd twins looked at Audrey and Audel shocked face and smirked. Bethany and Sebastian grabbed their fist harder, making them winched, pulled them closer with accelerating speed than high kicked them square in the chin. They fell on their asses with a thud.  "Aw, is the toro tired? Venga toro!" Bethany mocked and bend her legs, ready to strike. "What does that even mean?" She muttered and charged. Bethany ducked her slap and punch Audrey's stomach. From the corner of Bethany's eyes, she saw Audrey’s leg flew towards her face. Bethany quickly uses both of her arms to block Audrey’s leg and punch her left cheek. Audrey fell on the ground, holding her left cheek. "It means 'Come on Bull! Come on!'" Bethany said with a smirked. Audrey screamed and charged at Bethany, again. 'As much as I like seeing her getting punch, this is getting boring. Here borrow some of my strength. But you might be very exhausted.' Charlotte said and Bethany nodded mentally. 'Never mind. I will rather be exhausted than fighting this bull.' Bethany said. 'You got that right sister.' She shouted and Bethany felt raw power roar through my vein. Bethany growled and charged towards Audrey. She jumped and kicked Audrey's stomach very hard that made her flew off the sparring stage. Bethany panted, exhausted from all the power that Charlotte borrowed. Then she saw another person flew past her and landed beside Audrey. Bethany tried focusing on that person's face and saw that it was Audel. They both laid there, not moving. Then, she heard someone asked. 'Are they dead ?' 'I think so...' 'They're not moving....' Then they all heard groans coming from them and the crowd sighed. Bethany felt a presence beside her and turned and saw Sebastian. When they both looked at each other they flinched. "s**t-!!! What happened to your eyes?!" Bethany panicked. "Me?! Yours are different too!" Sebastian too panicked. "What are you talking about?" "You have indigo eyes!" "What!?" "Bethany!" "Sebastian!" They turned around and saw Randolph and Ramona running towards them. "Are you okay? Are you hurt? If you are, I swear-" Randolph said when he reach Bethany’s side. "I'm fine! She didn't even land a blow on me." Bethany said, giggling. He looked at Bethany for a while then he hugged her, lifting her off of my feet and started spinning her around. "Stop! Put me down!!" Bethany giggled. When he put her back down he saw her eyes and gasped. "What happened to your eyes?" He asked. "I know, creepy," Bethany said and chuckled. "Well, I think it's beautiful," Randolph said with adoring eyes. Bethany turned away with a shy smile. "So, what exactly happened?" He asked. "I don't know...Charlotte borrowed me some of her powers and that happened." Bethany said pointing at the unconscious Audrey and Audel. "Well, I think it's kinda cool," Randolph said smiling and Bethany smiled back. They were lost in their little bubble until someone from the crowd shouted. "Canis Rufus." A voice that belonged to an old woman said. They turned around and saw an old woman with red and white hair said. "What are you talking about Elder Bella?" Randolph asked. Elder Bella started walking onto the sparring stage. "Canis Rufus, the Red Wolves." She said. "Why are you telling us that?" Ramona when she and Sebastian stood beside Bethany and Randolph. "Because your mates are one." She said and they heard someone gasped. "It can't be! The Red Wolves died out when King Andrew and Queen Victoria was murdered. Except for one, and that is King Greyson." Shawn said, walking onto the stage with Emma's arms linked with his. "King Greyson? As in THE King Greyson?" Randolph said shocked. "Who is this 'King Greyson' you're talking about?" Bethany asked. "King Greyson is the current King of the Red Wolf Pack and the last breed of his kind ever since the death of his family," Randolph explained. “Okay, let me ask again. What is this ‘Red Wolf Pack’? What is this ‘Red Wolves’?” Bethany asked. “Red wolves are one of the royal werewolves,” Emma said. “Royal?” Sebastian asked confused. “Yes. It is said that royals are the direct descendants of the original werewolves created by the Moon Goddess.” Randolph explained. “But the Red Wolves are all dead,” Ramona said. "Or so we thought." Elder Bella said. "What do you mean?" Sebastian asked. "It means that maybe-" Elder Bella cut herself off and her eyes widen. "Quick you two, lift your shirts." She said, pointing at Bethany and Sebastian. "What?!?" Bethany, Sebastian, Randolph, and Ramona shouted. "Just do it." She said. Bethany and Sebastian sighed and lift their shirts, showing our backs. Then they heard gasped coming from the Stoners and Elder Bella. "What?" Sebastian asked. "So it just like I guessed." She said. "What? What? What?" Bethany asked getting frustrated. "There's a mark on each of your backs," Ramona said. "What mark? Last time I check, we don’t have any marks on our backs." Sebastian deadpanned. "You don't because you haven’t received your wolves yet then." Elder Bella whispered, realizing something herself. "So? What mark is it?" Bethany asked. "It's a Howling Wolf," Randolph said. "A howling wolf? Do they look identical? " Bethany asked. "Yes, and no. The howling wolf looked the same but the colors' different. Sebastian's black and yours is white." Randolph said. "How can there be a howling wolf on our backs when we don't even know that we have a mark on our backs the first place?" Sebastian asked. From the corner of Bethany’s eye, she saw Shawn and Emma were calling the pack members out of the arena and she also heard them asking someone to drag Audrey's and Audel's unconscious body to the pack’s doctors. After a while, the arena was empty. There was silence and Elder Bella was the first to break it.  "I don't know." "What?" Emma asked. "From what I've heard, the Red wolves pups usually have their marks since they were born. It does not come out all of a sudden if it does, it will be written on the archives." "Maybe it's not written in our archives but the Red Wolf Pack ones?" Shawn supplied. Elder Bella hummed. "That could be true. But then we have to ask for King Greyson to let us borrow them which is impossible. But, we could ask if he like any other living relative, maybe even long-distance ones." Then she turned to Bethany and Sebastian. "Do you know anybody you're related to are elated to the Red Wolf Pack? Or even a descendant of one?" "Erm..." Bethany said with a confused look. "I don't think they know, they just had their wolves. They didn't even know they were werewolves beforehand." Randolph said. "What?" Elder Bella gasped as she looked at the twins with widen eyes. But that's not possible." Elder Bella said. "It's true, they have their wolves just know at school." "But that's not possible, every werewolf has their wolves before they were even born. It just does not add up." Elder Bella mumbled. "I'll look into it and see if I can find anything. I think one of my friends will know about this. But for now, let's conclude that all of this is tied to them having their wolves recently." They nodded as they watch Elder Bella left. Bethany turned and saw that Sebastian's eyes were still indigo.  "Dude, your eyes." "They are still indigo?" Sebastian frowned when she nodded. "You too sis." Bethany frowned. "How can we change them back?" Bethany asked. "Imagine your normal eye colors and concentrate," Emma said. They closed their eyes and concentrate on their normal eye colors and when they open them again Bethany asked. "Are they gone ?" "Yeah, they’re gone. But when you get too emotional, the indigo will come back. Like when your angry, sad sometimes when you get too hyper." Ramona said. “How did you know?" Bethany asked. "Because it happened to us too. See," She said and her eyes turn bright blue. "Woah." Sebastian said, making Ramona blushed. Bethany elbowed him in the stomach. He let out an 'Oof' and glared at his twin. "What?" He asked and Bethany just rolled her eyes. "Don't say it out loud you baboon!" Bethany whispered. "It's my mouth! Plus, she's my mate, I can compliment her whenever I like." He whispered back and Bethany rolled her eyes at him again. "Don't you roll your eyes at me, young lady." Sebastian sassed. Bethany ignored him and when she looked at them, they were holding their laughter. Bethany glared at them and they burst into laughter. "Hahaha, very funny," Bethany said dryly and pulled a face which made them laugh even harder. Bethany sighed and she felt an arm around her shoulder. She looked up and saw a smiling Randolph. She glared at him and elbowed him in the gut. "Oof" "That's for laughing at me," Bethany said and he stuck his tongue out at her. She rolled her eyes then something popped into her head. She smirked at Randolph.  "Do you still remember the conversation we had in the car?" Bethany asked, smirking. "Yes?" He said cautiously. "Come along Sebastian, we're going to the grocery store," Bethany said and tugged on Sebastian's arm. “It’s a pancake time.”
