Surprise Encounter

They were driving for 40 minutes and there’s still no sign of Winterville. Bethany looked at the time and sighed.
6:30a.m.
She would pinch the bridge of her nose if she’s able to but instead, she’s fine on glaring at the road.
Damn Harry and his pranks with messing with the clocks.
She looked over at Sebastian and saw he was sleeping and let out another sigh. Perks of being the youner twin. But when she looked back at the road, she saw a huge 'McDonald's' sign.
Bethany grinned. Finally! Food!
She gently nudged Sebastian on the shoulder. "Hey, Seby, wake up."
Sebastian frowned at the nickname as he swatted at Bethany’s hand.
He groaned out. "Anna, go back to sleep."
"But I can't, the sky's awake so I'm awake," Bethany whispered. When he did not reply, she slapped him.
"Cheesecake!" He flinched and looked around then his eyes landed on his twin, he groaned. "Why did you slapped me?"
"We're reaching McDonald's."
"Cinnamon Melts and McCafé Latte thank you." He said and close his eyes again.
"Nu-uh. Nope, we're not going for the drive-thru. We're going to eat there or no McDonald's at all." Bethany said and she heard him groaned again as he opened his eyes, glaring at her.
"You know your just a few minutes older than me." He said and huffed.
“Old enough to boss you around.” She stuck her tongue at him at that. Sebastian just rolled his eyes at her fondly.
She parked the car next to a ..... Porsche 91?
Weird.
Three of them too, all next to each other.
"Weird." Bethany voice out her thought as she kills the engine.
"Very... How did three Porsche 911end up in McDonald's?" Sebastian asked.
"Yeah like we get a say in that. We’re driving a Chevrolet Corvette z06 and we're in McDonald's ." Bethany said and they laughed.
Just as they walked in she felt multiple eyes on them. She ignored them as to not let them know she notices and went to the counter.
"Hi! Welcome to McDonald's. I'm Rosie, what can I get you." Rosie said and smiled. Both Bethany and Sebastian smiled back.
"Hi, I'll get the Fruit and Maple Oatmeal," Bethany said. "Cinnamon Melts for me," Sebastian said beside me and Rosie’s cheek color. "O-okay, T-that will b-be 20," she said.
"Hey, I'm going to the McCafé next, you want anything?" Sebastian asked.
"McCafé Latte, thanks," Bethany said and he walked away. When She looked at back to Rosie, Rosie was staring at her.
"Uh ... Can I help you ?" Bethany asked, confused.
"Yes, are you two together?" She asked.
"Who? Me and Sebastian?" Bethany laughed and Rosie gave her a confused look.
"No! He's my twin brother." Bethany said.
"Oh!” Rosie’s cheek colored even darker. “Sorry. Please be seated and until your food is ready, thank you." She said as she shuffled away.
“Okay…”Bethany said, weird out then took a seat near the window.
She saw Sebastian, whistling with two cups of latte in his hands. Then he proceeds to walk past her table.
She whistled sharply. making him jumped which earned some giggles from Bethany. He turned around and sighed.
"You almost scared the s**t out of me." He said and sat down opposite her, handing her the latte.
"Scaredy cat." She said and he stuck his tongue out at her. She rolled her eyes and a waitress walked towards them, making sure she sways her hips seductively.
‘Has her screw loosen? Here, let me get my screwdriver to screw it up for ya.’ Bethany thought sarcastically.
"Thanks," Sebastian said making her blushed but it was gone a heartbeat later. She walked closer and she slides a card inside his sweater's pocket then walked away. Bethany was trying so hard not to laugh at Sebastian's weird out face.
When the waitress walked away, Bethany burst out laughing.
Sebastian looked at her annoyed.
"What? It's funny!" Bethany said which earned a playful glare from Sebastian, She laughed again.
"Hey! It's not funny at all." He said smiling which make me laughed harder. "Stop it!" He laughed and they both laughed until they caught other customers’ attention. She wiped away a fake tear and giggled.
"So. what. are. you. going. to. do with that ?" Bethany said between giggles as she points at the phone number.
He shrugged "I don't know." He confessed. "Put it with the others maybe." He said.
Bethany sighed "Why kept all when you know you're not going to call them?"
"Well, it's rude to throw it away, so I just kept them. What about you? I know you get your fair share of them." He said.
"Well, funny story, hahaha…” She laughed awkwardly. “Well, most of them are on napkins from cafes sooooo I kinda forgot about them, and well, most of them got thrown away by accident ." She finished and Sebastian broke into a laughing coma.
"Wow! Brava! You’re my twin. Ha! I want to look at their faces when you threw them away or just left it behind. Priceless. " He said and clapped.
"Shut up and eat your Cinnamon Melts." Bethany laughed and dig into her food.
When she took a bite, she remembers the feeling of people watching her and she can still feel it. So she looked around discreetly. When her eyes landed on someone she never thought she would see here and cursed mentally. She quickly looked away and tapped on the table.
"What ?" Sebastian looked up and asked.
"My 3 o'clock, look." She said and when Sebastian saw it, his eyes widen a bit but unnoticeable to normal people. Then he quickly looked back at me.
"They're here," Sebastian said.
"They? I thought there's only him here." She asked.
"No. Both of them with a few other guys." Sebastian said.
"Well, I think we’ve arrived at Winterville," Bethany said.
"At least we know they got McDonald's here!" He said.
"You and McDonald's," Bethany said and rolled her eyes.
“Let’s wait a few minutes before we go. Just be sure if they saw us looking at them.”
Sebastian nodded and they went back eating as nothing happened.
When her watched reached the 3-minute mark, she locked eyes with Sebastian and they started to pack.
They got up as quietly as possible and slipped out. They got in their car quickly and they’re off.
She checked her mirror and saw him walked out, searching for something.
They locked eyes and Bethany sped up.
She breathes out a relieved sigh when they were no longer in sight.
"That was close...." Sebastian said and Bethany nodded.
Bethany doesn't know why but…this town felt familiar. Following her guts, she just drove to somewhere, into the woods, and deeper.
The deeper she drives in, the more she frowns.
Wait, that’s it! Winterville! How can she forgot! This was the place where she and Sebastian were born and raised. She looks to her left and saw Sebastian face full of familiarity.
"Do you remember now?" She asked looking back at the road.
"Yeah…I remember every thing now-STOP!" He shouted and she steps on the breaks.
"What?" Bethany asked but he was already out of the car. She saw him ran towards a tree.
"Sebastian!" Bethany shouted and ran after him. He stopped in front of a tree with a tiny swing tied to a branch.
"Still remember this ?" He asked. Bethany nodded with watery eyes and walked next to him.
"Yeah..we will always argue about who's gonna sit first. We even asked why dad didn't build two. All he said was 'You are twins. You must learn to share and protect each other or others will take that advantage to hurt you.'" Bethany said and placed her hand on the rope, letting her tears fall.
She turned Sebastian and saw he was crying too. She walked over to him and hugged him.
"I missed them so much..."Bethany sobbed.
"Yeah..me too..." He said and buried his head into her hair.
They decided to park the car there because they know that the house was just a few feet away. They grabbed their bags and started trekking.
After a while, they reached their old house. Bethany fought the urge to cry again when she opened the front door and stepped inside.
Everything was just as she remembers, the pictures, the tables, the chairs everything is still the same as they left it when they went on that horrid vacation. Just a little, okay a lot of dust. She sighed thinking how sore they will be when they finish cleaning.
They put their things on the kitchen table continue eating their McDonald's while thinking about how to clean this place up. She looked at her watched. "Oh, would you look at the time!" She said. "Maybe we should clean that when we got back, agree?"
"Agreed! Let's go!" Sebastian said as they walked out of the house with our schoolbags. They decided to walk to school because they gotta stay on the low profile plus, their car had been seen. While they were walking, they took out thier target's document.
"Randolph Anthony Stoner, age 16. Genus is Canis Lupus." Bethany read.
"Wait... Canis Lupus?" Sebastian asked.
"Yeah, it means Gray wolf." She said and he nodded.
"Alpha of the Shadow Moon's pack. Wolf's fur color is brown with black paws and two upside-down triangles, thin and long mark from his cheek until his jaw. Human eye color is green with dark blonde hair and has slightly tan skin and his wolf's eye color is bright blue." She finished, putting back my documents.
"Ramona Anne Stoner, age 16. Genus is Canis Lupus. Twin sister of the Alpha of Shadow Moon's pack. Wolf's fur color is grey instead of two upside-down triangles mark like her brother, she has two small teardrops, one right-side-up, and one upside down. Human eye color is green with dark blonde hair like her brother's and but she had more paler skin than her brother and wolf's eye color is bright blue like her brother's too." When he was finished, we were already at school. He put his documents back into his bag and looked at his twin.
"What now?" He asked and pushed open the school's front door. Whatever the kids were doing, they stopped just to glance at them.
"Let's check our schedule," Bethany said and open her locker. They took their schedule out.
"So we have first, fifth, seventh, recess and last period together." He said, putting his small amount of weapons into his locker as Bethany following.
"I wish I can stop those people from staring," Bethany said and slammed her locker closed and lean on it. "Like. Don't they felt awkward or something?" She asked Sebastian.
He closed his locker and lean on it too. "Beats me." He said.
Then the bell rang.
"Come on, let's get to class," Sebastian said and they walked towards their first class which was Latin.
They went into the class and sat at the very back of the room. Right as they sat down, the whole class was giving us glances, some even winked at us. Bethany had to try to stop herself from gagging. When Sebastian turns to look at her, he tries to cover his laugh with a cough.
Bethany rolled her eyes just as the teacher came in.
"All right class. I-" The teacher was cut off when a boy and a girl came barging in with a loud crash. When she looked up, she holds in a gasp.
Really? You’ve got to be joking.
There, on the floor, laid Randolph with Ramona on top of him.
