Chapter Three It was evening by the time Brooke came back with her belongings. Lisa showed her to her cabin and introduced Oliver, the ranch dog. She then went about her chores and told Brooke to make herself at home. The cabin she would be using was more modestly decorated than Lisa’s, with only the bare necessities, though it was clean and comfortable. There was a loveseat and recliner in the living room, and an area rug in earth-tones. The kitchen had a coffee maker, small fridge, and microwave. As in Lisa’s cabin, no stove could be found. Brooke assumed everyone ate in the main house or heated something in their microwave. She also noted there was a bathroom with a toilet, sink, and stand-up shower.
