BROOKE MADE GOOD TIME. The weather was perfect, except for a brief patch of rain she hit outside of Pennsylvania. Once she got to Indiana she found a hotel and got some rest, then finished her trek the following day. Her adrenaline level continued to climb the closer she got to Iowa. The only complaint was the glare of the sun. She hated wearing sunglasses since it bugged her to have anything on her face or head, but the dark shades relieved her eye strain.
As she drove along the highway, her heart nearly popped out of her chest when she saw the Wild Rose welcome sign. She typed Goldfinch Rd. into her phone's GPS and waited for it to calibrate her location. Once she saw the little blue arrow representing her car she drove toward her destination.
