Chapter 24 – Orders
Keleusyn's third eye closed, and the scene outside the jamming facility disappeared, replaced by his ordinary eyes' view of the chamber housing the black crystal. He frowned and tapped his chin. Plotting and scheming came naturally to him. He had been born a Paragon, after all, and had risen to the top Tier of the Hierarchy once upon a time. And now he was the leader of the Expansionist faction of the Masters. It was as if the Wheel of Fire had picked him out for some great destiny.
The Expansionist faction believed the universe, particularly humanity, was inexorably moving towards something greater—an “expansion” of consciousness, or something along those lines—and that it must end in some sort of metamorphosis for the human race and the destruction of entropy itself
