Chapter 20 – Observations
Master Keleusyn observed many things at once. He was in the Luminiferous Plane, and was both nowhere and everywhere in the Wheel of Fire simultaneously. Though he watched several things, his focus was mostly on the valley in which lay nestled Locus and its surrounding environs.
The Mentarch had locked the city down tight. Only about half of Locus's adult Reliants were actually working now, a rarity for the famously industrious Breed. The rest had armed themselves and were basically garrisoning the whole valley. They formed a perimeter around the city, especially at the Chakros River, and there were many armed bands roaming the streets.
