Georgia freeman needed a break from life,at 25 she had accomplished everything she wanted, she owned her own company, her own house and three cars. Well...almost everything, she just broke up with her fiance of a three year relationship, which was why she flew 13 hours across the country to Venevia with her best friend,Abby,she needed a restart ,a breath of fresh air. She looked at the small houses as they drove by, she loved this town at first sight, which was weird because she was used to the bustling cities, like new York where she grew up,but there was something about the place, it was homely and welcoming. They were driving to the cottage they rented, that was where they would be staying for a month when she saw something like a body of bright light pass through the front of the car in a flash, she pressed on the brakes and the car came to a screeching halt. "What happened? "Abby who had been oblivious of her surroundings because she was going through her phone had not seen the body of light. "There was something... I don't know,I saw something,it was flying,it looked so bright...I saw it"she looked like she had seen a ghost. "Are you sure saw something or it was just your mind playing games" It was impossible, she definitely didn't want to believe what she saw,being grounded by the rules of facts and science all her life,what she just saw was impossible. "Yeah it was probably my mind playing games"she put the car in motion and they continued their journey. The cottage looked nice and homely, but the neighbourhood was kinda creepy, there were other cottages around, she looked at the cottage on her right, the one closest to theirs, it looked different from the rest, it was dark brown with a black roof with stones on the main entrance and the path that led to the road. She and Abby had packed their things from the main entrance into the cottage which was still pretty on the inside although it had an old feeling to it. Abby was getting things settled in so she decided to take a tour just around where all the cottages were down to the back,she had spotted a lake when they were driving by. She took off the sundress she was wearing,put on some shorts and a tank top with a pair of sandals then she put her blonde hair in a ponytail. She stepped out of the cottage the same time the person in the cottage closest to theirs was stepping out. She regretted looking up because it felt like she couldn't move anymore, their eyes locked for a few seconds but it felt like forever. He was so handsome,.you could describe him as beautiful, he had blue eyes which seemed to also be taking her in, chestnut brown hair and broad shoulders. He looked like he could be six eight or seven inches tall. "Hello"His deep baritone voice broke the moment. "Ummm hi,i'm Georgia,I and my friend just moved in for our vacation from new york, we're gonna be here till the month's end" The man took a few steps closer to her,then looked her in the face and said "Georgia,Venevia isn't the place for you to be on vacation, I strongly suggest you find somewhere else " then he turned around and walked down the path from his house to the road. ( Oh kay!that was awkward)She took a deep breath and started walking towards the back of the house towards the path that led to the lake. Just before the lake, there was an open space with grass and a tall tree in the middle of the open space, she sat on the open grass and was taking in the beauty of the place when she saw some writings on the tree bark, she studied them,it seemed like a foreign language. Out of curiosity,she read the handwriting "Ladro kedi le onble pwreo desa on minirdro" She felt the hair on her skin stand and the air felt really cold all of a sudden. The next thing that happened made her question her own existence.The water from the lake starting rising in a streak like form towards her at a very fast pace and when she tried raising her hands to block her face, it dissipated. The next thing she knew,she saw her new neighbor running towards her, he tried to help her up"you've made a terrible mistake, We need to hide now!!! He took her hand and started running in the direction of the cottage, she looked to her back and saw some fish like creatures coming out of the water,they looked like mermen but with actual feet instead of a tail. They ran into her cottage where she met Abby with a small,strange looking lady.Abby was seated in the corner like she didn't want to talk. " Abby,who is that lady?" "Who is that man" They asked at the same time. The man faced Abby,"I am Liam,your next door neighbor and your friend here made a terrible mistake,we have to leave now". "Georgia,this lady here says you took her powers a few minutes ago,that's why she's here. "Look,we have to leave this place right now,it's unsafe for us,I'll explain everything when I get there". "No,what do you mean I took her powers",she faced the lady"who are you" "I am fate,I am a virtue fairy that works in the underworld and the in between to provide for the people here on earth". "That spell you cast is a returning spell,I am to retire soon and just took my place as the next virtue fairy". "The first element is water,the second is air,the third is earth and the fourth is fire,chanting that spell just unlocked your first element,there are other steps on the way but sadly,that you'll have to do on your own,my job here is done". She gasped(That was the body of light she saw when they were coming) Fate began to mutter some inaudible words and then she opened a portal and then she said, " I have to go now,thank you Georgia for taking this great responsibility". And then she left. Liam waked towards the wall"Georgia,Abby you're going to have to leave everything you have,those creatures are coming for us". Georgia looked uncertain"what are those?" "I'll explain on the way"he said,tapping on the wall three times and a doorway appeared."lets go" Georgia looked hesitant so he grabbed and hand and Abby held unto her friend,then that jumped and went belowwww till they landed a very large room with vintage chairs and a large table,it looked like an office "We're here to meet Lucifer the demon lord,he will help us on how to finish your quest" "No f*****g way"said Abby"I thought he was a myth "Well"Liam clenched his jaw as they began to hear footsteps"you're bout to find out" The footsteps got closer until a handsome man as beautiful as Liam was with red hair walked into the room,he had a chiseled jaw,eyes so gold it was like light itself, every inch of his toned body was beautiful, he gave a dashing smile and said"hello everyone,to what do i owe this visit? Georgia took a step back and pinched herself (she had to be dreaming )
