Chapter 1Trevor Stanton didn’t know how he had ended up in the hospital. The last thing he remembered he’d been sitting in the bleachers cheering on his little sister’s softball team. His sister was up to bat next and…nothing.
What he knew now was his head was screaming in pain.
“Can you tell us your name?” a man asked. A very bright light pierced Trevor’s eyes and he tried to cover them. “Just a moment.”
The man, whoever he was, spoke gently, though he was torturing Trevor. Trevor blinked and went to shut his eyes when the painful light winked out.
