Jan pov
I was sitting here in my own office trying to get some emails read and some paperwork done, it wasn't much at all, just some scam mail and mail from lunas letting me know to let them know if they needed to come here and kick there daughters ass or their sons ass, i wrote them back, telling them i will let them know, the paper work was for the ladies i needed to put them in classes on how to talk the right way. and how to act like ladies. and not whores that want to sleep with every Tom, d**k or Harry. It was a little boring but it was something to do. besides just walking around and being bored, my mate was working right now, he was doing paperwork for the new alphas, he was the one that was going to be training them, But i didn't care about all the right now, well i did but right now i cared about why the elders wanted to see my cousin,I linked Janice letting her know that should be here any minute now. every time they came it was nothing but trouble, And that's not what my cousin needs right now. after Kathrine died from the very hands of the rogue king, he lost it for awhile, when he came back he was not the same, Janice found him one day by her grave crying begging her to come back, she rushed over to him holding him, rocking him back and forth until he stopped crying. When all was done, he hugged her and told her thank you for helping him go through this, but it was time to go back and be the king that everyone knows, but he just wasn't the same, years past he would go out at night and not come back until sunrise. There was even one night he came rushing into the castle freaking out, he wouldn't tell me or Janice what had happened and until this day we still do not have a clue why he was acting like that. but when my lycan Katie told me that the jerks were here. I knew who she meant the elders., the power hunger ass holes that think everyone has to do what they tell them to do. I linked Janice letting her know they were here, she walked out of the office just as Jaden was walking down the hallway. he opened the door and didn't even get a chance to speak to them,
“King Jaden, I think we need to talk.” Damn this is serious if they didn't let him talk first,. he opened the door wide so the three of them could walk inside our home. We all went into the throne room. This meeting was private and serious. Jaden sat on his throne and Janice and I stood beside him. he looked over at us,
“Janice, Jan. go sit. Whatever it is, it's going to be okay. We nodded and went to sit in one of the chairs beside him. I never sat in the queen's chair, I always sat beside my cousin.

“So Elders, what is this meeting about, I know I have not broken any rules so what is the problem?”
“King Jaden, We are here today. to let you know you have five years to find your mate or pick a chosen mate. When those five years are up we will be back. If you have not found her or chosen her, we will choose for you. or you will lose your crown.” I was pissed and before i could stop my self, i stood up from my chair and spoke,
“But you can not do that. you can not take his crown because he has no mate!” I knew it was a mistake to speak out of line around the elders, but I was sick of those ass holes, one with brown hair and green eyes looked at me and smirked. we may not have the power to take his crown, but we know the higher ups and they will decide to take his crown and make him step down from being king, every alpha or king must have a mate to be strong and help with the home,”
Jaden, I know your mate had died at the hands of the rogue king, I knew he wanted everything that you had. And I know how that made you, but it has been over sixty years, it's time for you to look for another mate. Or we will chose one for you, or the higher up will, and then if they have to, the female will take control and you will still be thrown from your throne, We give you five years King Jaden, after that. Then it is all over,” I looked over at Jaden, and it was not Jaden anymore, it was Shadow. I could tell by the look of his eyes, he rushed off the throne grabbing the elder by the throat pushing him up against the wall, he held him by his throat. He was now hanging by his feet,
‘How dare you talk to my human like that? He might not be able to do s**t when it comes to you, but I sure as hell can. I am the f*****g king of this f*****g castle. and if you ever threaten him again, i will rip every f*****g Elder apart and the higher ups even if they are any left that is, His mate died a horrble death, she got stabbed and her throat got cut, until she died, and you think its f*****g easy getting over that, he has night mares every single damn night about that. he feels he is the f*****g blame, but its not him it was the rogue king,” I ran over to him,
“Shadow, listen to me okay, Please I beg you let him live! Put him down and let him live please, He slowly let go of the elder placing him back down on his feet, he glared at him,
“Give him six f*****g years. one more year to grieve and then the next two he will find her, now get the hell out of my home or I will toss you out,” The man looked scared to death, i don't think he thought Jaden or Shadow would do this. he probably thought he was going to obey just like the rest, well he thought wrong, The elder held his throat coughing to catch his breath, he stood straight up and looked into Shadows eyes,
“I will give him six years, In those six years he has not done what we had said. then he will be gone from the throne and from the castle,” Shadow nodded and said.
Six years will be great, now leave and not return until that six years is up, they shook hands and they all left in a hurry.
