Chapter 4Gabriel’s penthouse, Tuesday afternoon The doorman rang to say he was sending Armand’s party upstairs since Gabriel had sent Marceau down earlier to tell him they were expected. Kane was worried because he couldn’t dress in regular clothes yet. “I don’t want to insult them, especially Mr. La Marche. He’s scary.” Kane moved to get out of bed. “Stay there for the time being, they’ll come up.” Gabriel chuckled. “As far as Armand being scary, he would be happy to hear that. It’s the reaction he’s seeking to cultivate.” The bedroom door was open and Kane saw Sean stumble into the apartment from the elevator across from the suite, followed by Armand and four other men. Sean came right to the bedroom and gave Kane a hug, then did the honors. “Rémy and Ian Clavier, Marc and Colin Thierr
