The doorman rang to say he was sending Armand’s party upstairs since Gabriel had sent Marceau down earlier to tell him they were expected. Kane was worried because he couldn’t dress in regular clothes yet. “I don’t want to insult them, especially Mr. La Marche. He’s scary.” Kane moved to get out of bed.
“Stay there for the time being, they’ll come up.” Gabriel chuckled. “As far as Armand being scary, he would be happy to hear that.
