VIOLET POV The sound of birds chipping made me aware of the arrival of the sun. It was still early in the morning and I had meetings to attend to. I sighed, about to get up from the bed to start my daily routine and get ready for work. Having lots of files to sort today, I didn't want to waste any time at home. But then it dawn on me that I indeed lost my job. I stopped whatever I was doing, biting my lips sp hard to stop my tears. How could I forget what happened the day before? How could I forget that my softness led to the death of innocent children? I remembered everything so clearly now and my heart was still filled with guilt.
