Tonio finally pulled over halfway to San Francisco, and Maddy wasn’t sure if she was pleased or disappointed that they had three hours ahead of them. She had wanted Shawn to drive her to San Francisco because she found road trips to be long, tedious, and boring. But she liked having her own car while she was in San Francisco, and she didn’t like flying, so it made sense to drive up. Shawn usually kept her pretty entertained, and she liked spending time with her boy. But Tonio was keeping her entertained too, in a much different way. A much different and pleasurable way.
