My mind is reeling after everything I just learned. I knew my father was far from perfect, but how could he do that to his fated mate? He was a monster. He was no better than that ba**ard who betrayed me. I understand why Hugo's mother hated my mother. She was the other woman, even if she didn't know it. Did she know he had rejected his fated mate? Bile rose in my throat at the possibility that my own mother could mate with Cain if she knew what he had done. "Caroline, I will answer any questions that I can."
