9. Filling a Need
Amy badgered Danny relentlessly, trying to get him to drink from my body so she could drink endlessly from him without killing him. She was going about it the wrong way, I knew that, but it was good she was alienating him. After snarling at Danny and trying to claw his chest, he wrestled his way out from under me and fled, leaving us alone.
Serves you right, I scolded her.
Who cares, Amy sniffed. We’ll go looking for fun somewhere else.
