Serender had a song stronger than no others in her heart. Even though her parents worked diligently to teach her morals that will make her a well rounded human, her need to create chaos and her attachment to her siren ancestors, got the best of her.

Chapter 1
These words reverberated throughout Aiosha’s very being but she could  only whisper them. She was not sure if she should still be there.  "No I can't forget the past When I think of all shouldn’t last When I had you here but then I released you And now it's only fair that I should tell the tru --th What you should know" She wanted to sing louder, stronger, with every morsel of her being and melt away into nothing. But a part of her wanted to live and see what the future held. Even though it seemed like all hope was lost. She still feared losing  herself in her song. "I can’t breathe If my world doesn’t revolve around  you I can't breathe I can't live anymore Can’t breathe If my world doesn’t revolve around  you can't live, I can't live anymooooorrrrreee.." Laying on the beach. Alone on her island. She gazed at the stars full of loneliness.  She took down the siren's sound barrier that protected the island. [Sigh What am I doing?! ] As she was questioning her existence, a ball of flames seemed to be falling from the sky. She jumped to her feet. She was unsure of which way to run. “Is this the end of my loneliness? Should I even try to run from this fate?” Aiosha thought to herself.  At that moment, she stood and watched the fireball, then she closed her eyes and awaited the end. [I'm ready] BOOM! The object that hit the island was not earth shaking. It barely made her sway.  "What was that?" She said to herself. She walked down the beach. She could see little fires dancing on the sand. The closer she got to the object the clearer the phenomena became. It was a human. Possibly a male. His skin was dark either from being on fire or naturally. She could not tell. She reached down and gently grabbed their wrist. They were alive. [How is that even possible?] Beyond that, the darkness of the night made her fear moving them. Her gut told her to embrace this chance. If this was a real human then she was probably the reason why they crashed. She cut several branches full of large banana leaves to make a makeshift sled. Once the body was secured, she started her journey back to her house. She put the person in the room that was across the hall from hers, so that she could listen for changes in their condition. When she moved the person from the makeshift sled to the bed, she  solved the main mystery. Anatomically this person was a man. “A whole lot of man.” The thought made her blush.  "Good grief Aiosha! Pull it together!" she yelled at herself. She started to clean and dress the burns. He did not have any broken bones. She would say that's miraculous but he also fell from the sky on fire and was not dead.  Most of the burned clothing had deteriorated on their own, so she left the man in his ‘birthday suit’ under some cover. Sirens normally took the human form of small framed women. So she didn't have any clothing for him to wear. Their species can be male or female. Their gender was automatically assigned or reassigned during mating season. They could choose their skin color also but she chose to wear her natural color which was a pale gray tone. She crawled into her bed and stared up at the ceiling. She closed her eyes and envisioned the barrier again.Since she had someone to protect it only made sense to continue protecting the island. "Just when I was about to give up" she muttered. She tried to stay awake but she had been awake for the past 4 days contemplating her existence. Sleep quickly took her. "Hey, wake up!" A raspy voice beckoned her. As she slowly opened her eyes she saw a half naked man standing above her. She jumped up and moved to the corner of her bed.  "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you. I tried calling you from the door way. I knocked several times. I got a little worried." He exclaimed. After she caught her breath, she spoke, "How are you feeling?" She looked at him and not one burn mark was on his body. His skin was completely repaired. "I am doing fine. Where am I? Why are you gray?" He said with his brows scrunched in. The look on his face made her laugh. She hadn't laughed that hard in a long time. "Why am I gray!!?"  Aiosha yelled out loud  while laughing at the weird circumstances. After the laughter bout subsided, she said "First. I am Aiosha. I am a siren. Who are you?" She kicked off introductions. "Nice to meet you Ioshay? Sorry I will need you to help me with your name. But I am Doctor Xander Cybo." He stated. "Its eye like in ‘eyeball’ then ‘ocean’ without the "n" at the end. Got it?" "I think I can handle that." He laughed. In that very moment, he and the cover he had wrapped around his waist, walked to the window. "This silence is maddening. Are you the only person here?' He questioned. "I am. I mean I was until you arrived." The wind blew threw the open window tossing the cover around his waist about. "I am sorry I don't have any clothes for you to wear." "No worries. So your voice is what I heard when I was flying over the island? It's beautiful and it sounded full of sorrow." His compliment was Aiosha’s  first ever. "Again I'm sorry about that. Yes, I was a little sad." she said embarrassed by her depression. "You said you are a siren. I thought that was only a myth." He said then took a seat like it was story time. She had nothing but time. "This is the island that my people once inhabited. As you might know we are  in the south pacific ocean, in between Australia and South America. Technically we are not people, we are able to take human form or our ancestral form. Human's would refer to us as Sirens. Our voices can beckon or call "prey" up to 200 miles. When a siren dies their strength is passed to their next of kin which means that person's voice can resound up to 400 miles. Since I am the last of the Siren race my voice could reach every person on the entire planet, if I wanted it to. Just whispering my song is deadly but holding it in makes my heart ache." she paused and looked away. She felt like she revealed a heart wrenching secret. She took a deep breath and continued, "I have been living on this island for the past 200 years. I sometimes swim to California or Chile and check books out of the library. These days I've been more tired than usual. If we don't sing our hearts fill with darkness and despair and our song changes. I can no longer beckon someone here to love me, I can only call them to their doom. You know like making boats crash on rocks, airplanes fall out of the sky, stuff like that. So I have tried my darndest to not sing.''She finished her story and waited for him to speak. [Say something..] He continued to look down at his hands, tears started rolling down his cheeks. Aiosha was startled.  "What's wrong?"  "I can still feel the depths of your loneliness in my heart. I want to hug and protect you from such pain. It's unbearable." He took quick breaths while trying to hold back his tears. "You are a nice man. Please don't cry for me. Come on. Tell me how you turned into a ball of fire?" She tried to lighten the mood but found that his story may be just as grim as hers. After he got his tears and emotions under control, he proclaimed."I have no one."
