Star flies out of bed, landing in a crouch. It startled all three alphas awake. “Baby what’s going on? Are you ok?” She doesn’t answer, her whole body heaving, her breath coming out in gasps, the triplets jump off the bed and rush to her, but her hands go up to stop them, she lifts her head, and her eyes are pure silver.
“Stop, don’t come any closer. I have held our shift longer than I should have,” her voice is raspy and deep, “Saffron? Is that you darling?” Ace moves a little closer but stops as sparks of lightning shoot from Star’s body, “I SAID STAY BACK.”
