3 The place was nearly deserted because few people dared go into the lonely park after dark. Only the homeless and muggers occupied the benches and shadows. One lived beneath the few stone bridges, and the other lived off other peoples’ hard work by stealing it. I followed my nose, but I wasn’t very confident in my new-found tracking skills.
