“Do you think Blake knows about us being hybrids?” I inquired, navigating the bustling hallway on my way to my locker.
Violet’s voice chimed in, a blend of analysis and assurance. “I doubt it. If he did, he wouldn’t have rejected us.”
I let out a sigh, the weight of the situation heavy on my mind. “True. But when he eventually learns the truth, he’s in for one hell of a shock.”
A rueful chuckle escaped me. “And the irony is, he’s suddenly interested in us now just because we look attractive.”
Violet’s mischievous spirit shone through as she winked playfully. “Well, let’s use that to our advantage. Strut that sexy ass and let him see what he passed up.”
I mentally chuckled in response to her boldness. Violet had her own unique brand of charm—equal parts pervert and badass.
