Caleb was sitting up in his bed when Jonah arrived. The nurse smiled and nodded as Jonah quietly entered.
His icy blue eyes focused on the young Beta, a small hiss sound came from the tubes in his nostrils, how can he make sure Jonah was ready, when his own body was failing him.
Jonah noted the haze in his eyes, he knew what he was thinking. "How are you feeling today, Alpha?"
Caleb waved a hand, dismissing the pleasantries. "What took you so long to get here?" he hissed through the tubes.
"Sqashing flies." Jonah smiled and took the far chair, sliding it to the corner of the bed. "You must have heard about the Rogue that was found close to the boundary lines. Your old ears aren't dead... yet."
