“We had two glasses of Pinot Noir at dinner last night, before we knew. The alcohol content on that specific bottle was 12.5%. Would that affect the baby?” I asked.
“She shouldn’t be drinking any alcohol. Even the smallest amount can affect the fetus. All we can do now is to monitor her, and make sure that she doesn’t have any alcohol moving forward.” She says and I nod. “She should wake soon, then we can go over my findings. I am also waiting for the one blood test I just ran.” She says and I nod.
There was a knock on the door and I went to open it. Brad comes in and takes in the scene. The doctor looks at him and then at Cassidy. “Fraternal twins?” she asks and we both nod. “Interesting, your odds of a multiple birth are very high.” She says and I smile.
