How did I ever manage to pull that off? I honestly didn’t believe that I would escape his men, but I guess that luck was on my side today. By now, they were probably frantically looking for me while worried about what their boss would say once he found out what they had let happen. It upset me to think about what Landon would do to them because they were nice men overall. They hadn’t done anything to me personally to make me feel ill of them other than working for someone like Landon.
I was now in a taxi headed to the airport. The plan was to buy the available flight tickets to wherever that cost me the least to travel. Once I was there, I would figure out where to stay
