Indigo
Until Jacob, I’d never been so aware of my own heartbeat. My body was flooded with warmth and I needed to be his, now.
We made it to the bedroom, but all I’d managed to do so far was strip him of his shirt, tie and jacket.
His woodsy smell captivated me and I needed him. I wasn’t afraid anymore. I’d always be me, and now I’d show him how much I loved him.
I tugged his arm toward the bed and as I sat, he went to his knees.
My hands raked through his hair as he lifted my shirt and kissed my bellybutton.
Damn, my knees were weak and my muscles were tense with achy need.
I nudged him up and he sat beside me and kissed my lips. Actually that was too plain a word. His lips captured mine, and I happily let him.
