Chapter 9

Celestina's POV

It feels like I have been sleeping for quite long and I got a right amount of sleep, butmy eyes are still shut and definitely want to sleep more.I just couldn't because I know that the sun has risen. I know I have so much things to do but since I just got woke up, my brain is not functions well to remember my to-do list.

The sun is now kissing my cheeks and it makes my mood a less sleepy. I grab the opportunity to think of what are the things I must do today. And I sit up when I remembered that today is our enrollment. But when I look at the alarm clock resting at the bedside table, I realize that it is still early. Thank God I wake up just right on time.

"Good morning," I said to the world while stretching to lessen the laziness I am feeling today. Because I should not be lazy because King Zen is still letting me attend my school. I climb off my feet to prepare myself in taking a bath. I go to the bathroom to check if everything that I will be needing is there already. But when I reached the bathroom, I have found out that I do not have to worry about it because the three girls are already here, preparing everything I neee.

"You are here, Miss Celestina," Elsa greeted me while pouring milk in the bathtub.

"We are almost done, Miss Celestina. And after this, you can take a bath already," Rebecca says. I smile at them and nod. Then I watch them finish preparing everything. Actually, they do not have to do this because I do not usually like bathing in a tub. I usually just do a shower. I don't spend much time in bathing.

"Is King Zen awake?" I asked.

"Yes, Miss Celestina. But he left earlier than usual," Amelia informs me and I pouted. He did not even bother to wait for me. I mean, we can have our breakfast together since I will be transferring in his mansion today. I just do not what time I will be sent there. I just hope it will not be right after the enrollment. I still want to go home here today just to say goodbye to everyone who assisted and guided me here.

"Did he say he where is he going?" I asked again.

"No, Miss Celestina. It is not his thing to tell his whereabouts,", Rebecca answers me and I just not. Elsa left to check if Neil has arrived. And when she came back, he informed us that Neil is already waiting for me at the gateway. So I decided to finish my bathing dessed up already.

This time, I was the one who picked my clothes. Of course, you could not expect me to wear floor-touching dresses just for an enrollment. I decided to wear jeans and tees to be more comfortable. I will also ask Drew and Maiah to hangout—with Neil, of course. I have to follow King Zen's order to be with Neil the whole time we were outside his castle.

He said last night that it is dangerous for me to be exposed out in the castle. I do not know why but I will never take the risk. So I will follow whatever he says.

Right after getting ready to go, I walk out the castle and go to the gateway where Elsa told me Neil is waiting. But when I reach the gateway, it is not Neil who is waiting for me, but King Zen. Was Elsa's eyes are blurry already that she sees King Zen as Neil? He watches my step as I walk towards him. I could not help but look around if there is a sign that Neil is here. But no sign of him.

I remember Rebecca told me that King Zen left earlier than usual. And I do not know why he is here now.

"What are you looking for?" Rule asks me with a huge frown when I reached him.

"I was looking for Neil," I tell him and he frown even more. He is obviously wondering of what could be the reason of me looking for Neil.

"And why are you looking for him?" My eyes stay at him this time because there is something in his voice but I could not realize what it is.

"Because Elsa told me thay Neil is the one waiting for me," I answer.

"And who is Elsa?" he asks and I grimaced. He has seen her always but how come he does not know her name? And obviously, King Zen never knew all the names of his servants.

"She is one of the girls whose always with me," I answere with an eyeroll. He nods slowly in understanding.

"Neil was actually the one who was here. But I did everything to finish the things I need to do so that I can go with you," he says and I could not speak.

Does it mean that he will be with me today instead of Neil? I got a lot of hesitation because of Drew and Maiah but idea of Rule being with me the whole day seems a great idea. But I'm sure that my friends will get intimidated by him. I cannot hide them the fact that he is the vampire king because they have met him when King Zen appeared while they were still at our mansion.

I am now having a second thought if I would still invite them for lunch, knowing that King Zen will be with us. But I could not cancel my plan because that was already planned in my mind. He raised an eyebrow when I did not give him an answer.

"What were you thinking?" he asks curiously.

"You know, King Zen, I have planned of inviting my friends over lunch. So, I am afraid you get bored," I said.

"And so? I will accompany you." He raised an eyebrow again when he saw a hesitation in my face. "Why does it seem that you have a problem in me being with your friends. But it seems that if it is Neil, it would be fine. We are both vampires," he says and I sigh because he does not get it.

"You are both vampires but you are the king. Just like what I have said, you will get bored. And when you get bored, you will asked me to go home. And my time with them will be interupted," I said and I can see the frustration in his face. Why is he the one being frustrated here? I should be the one feeling that way because my time will be compromised.

But as I look deeper into his eyes, I realize that it is not frustration I am seeing. It is the disappointment. But why would he be disappointed? I did not do anything. I just said that he might get bored.

"Why do I have this feeling that you do not want me around your friends?" he says in disappointment and I was shock because that is not what I meant. "You know, Celestina, I can let you do those things. You don't have to mind me." I took a deep breath then nod. We will see if he can really accompany in this kind of activity.

King Zen rarely shows up to people and I don't think he wants to be exposed for the whole day with a lot of people. Well, if he could not take it anymore, he can ask Neil to come over and do his job.

We enter his car and I was shock because we weill not bringing a driver. King Zen will definitely drive me to our university so I go to the frontseat. I could not imagine what would be my friends' reaction if ever they see King Zen. My schoolmates might not know him because they still heaven't seen the vampire king. But Maiah and Drew will surely recognize him because who can forget his face? He is too gorgeous to be forgotten that easy. His face features is just so rare. Especially his eyes that I still could not remember where did I see it.

King Zen started driving and I still couldn't believe that the vampire king is driving for me. I get my phone and message Maiah and Drew to eat lunch together after we get enrolled and they both agreed. But I did not tell them that King Zen will be with us because I know that they will be hesitant to go with me.

At least there, if ever they knew that King Zen will be with us, they will never get a chance to back out because they already said yes. They will be forced to be with us.

The whole ride with King Zen was just so quiet. I look at my wrist watch and I think that we will be there just right in time. I don't know if I am going to instruct him for the direction of my university but he seems know where is the exact location of my school. So I let him drive until I saw the gigantic arch of our school.

"You can wait me here outside," I tell him because his car does not have our university sticker so I am pretty sure that the security will not let him in. He did not speak so I thought that he understands what I was saying. But I realize that he is continuing his way to the entrance and I'm afraid that the guard will block his way.

It's not the fact that we might get into trouble if the guard will not let him in. I know King Zen will not let those guards to block his way. I'm afraid that Rule will be having a hard time controlling his anger and something bad might happen to the guards. King Zen has an anger issue and I have witnessed that in a few days of meeting him. And just as of this moment, I am laready concerned of the gurads' safety.

"Hey, King Zen, I said you can just wait me here," I repeated what I said just in case he did not hear me. And again, he did not say any word. I look at his right ear and think that he has ang earphone plugged in there but there is nothing. Maybe in his left ear? So just to check his left ear, I lean into him and he immediately stops the car because of the shock in my action. It was not my intention to scare him, and I do not know how I would explain everything to him. He looks at me--no, he glares at me and I gulp.

"I'm so sorry, King Zen. I did not mean to surprise you that way," I said to him before he could even yell at me.

"What the hell is your problem? What are you planning to do?" He did not yell at me but I can sense in his voice that he is really pissed off.

"I'm sorry. I was just trying to see if there is an earphone plugged in your left ear," I said. And while he is still looked pissed, he frowns because of confusion.

"And why the hell would you do that?"

"I was just thinking that you are probably wearing an earphone because I have told you twice already that you should not enter your car in our university because the guards will surely interrogate us," I explained and he rolls his eyes.

"I heard you, okay?" he says and I roll my eyes back at him. He heard me but he did not even bother to answer me? And if he really heard me, then why did he still continue driving, approaching the entrance of our university?

He was about to hold the clutch but I stopped him by holding his arm. His arm is just too hard.

"You can't just go there without the university sticker—"

"Why do I need that goddamn sticker for entering the university that I own?"
