Chapter 13 Celestina's POV Drew did noy suggest anything again after I turn down his offer and I feel so guilty. But I do not have any choice but to consider King Zen's opinion. I look at Maiah and she smiles at me a little and I know that she understands why I needed to turn down Drew's offer. "What about...a dinner out?" Maiah suggested just to have something we can all agree in. And I guess that she did the right thing. I look to both Drew and King Zen and there is no disapproval in their faces. But I know that Maial only said ir just so we can be all in one. Because they will not let my birthday passed just like that, especially it is my eighteenth. They will make it more special than a simple dinner out. "Not a bad idea," I said. They both shrug that it is fine with them. "Do you know when is her birthday?" Drew asked King Zen so he looks at him with a big frown. But I cannot deny the fact that I also want to know what will be his answer? Does he really know ny birthday? Or is he just going to attend because I invited him? "August 3, 2003," he says to Drew and I can see confidence in his eyes. Well he should be confident because he just said the right date. And I did not expect him to know my birthday. I expected that he will say no, he does not know when is my birthday and it will nit disappoint me because it is very understable. We do not know each other foe too long. "Oh, yea. Of course, you maybe have done a background check with her? You will be needing her for his father's debt," Drew is in a tone of taunting him and I panic. I just realize how wrong to continue my plan of having a lunch together the moment King Zen informed me that he will be the be the one who will accompany me. Drew and King should not be together again because they both have a bad temper and taunting voices. But they will be together again because we are now planning my birthday. And they are both invited. I will not invite many people so it is not impossible for them not to meet. I saw the way King Zen's face shifted to Drew again. And this time, I know that King Zen will be out of control. But before doing anything, he looks at me first like he is trying to read my reaction. A little and slowly, I shook my head at him with the hope of he will listen to me. I know he can see now the beg in my eyes that he should control himself. And after a moment of staring at me and having our eye contact, he suddenly stands up. At first, I thoughthe will attack Drew. But then I heard him speak. "Tell your friends to take a bus ride going home. The girl can driven home. But the dude?" he stops then glances at Drew shortly before bringing his eyes back on me. "I will wait you in the car. You do not need to hurry. Finish your food," he says to me calmly before turning his back on us. I watch his back walking out this restaurant and the urge of following him is now haunting me. When he already disappeared from my sight, I look at Drew and Maiah so I can now say goodbye to them. King Zen told me to finish my food but I do not think I could finish it anymore. I already lost my appetite and I cannot continue eating. Good thing that I am full already. But just like what he said with Maiah, we will drive her home—only if she wants. I stand up and they both look up to me. "Where are you going?" Drew asks even though I can see in his eyes that he already know the answer. "I am leaving, Drew. I will follow King Zen," I said and I can see protest in his eyes. "Why? He said it. You can finish you food," he says and I shook my head. "I am full, Drew. I do not want the vampire king to wait for me. He is impatient," I said and when I did not hear a word from him anymore, I diverted my eyes to Maiah. "Do you want us to drive you home?" I ask if she wants to because whatever her answer will be, it is just fine both side. I also want her to so no, that he will be with Drew. Because I want Drew to have someone to be with in going home. Because even though how much I wanted him to drive home, it will be better if we will not. King Zen went out just to control himself from attacking him. Maiah smiles at me before shaking her head slowly. "No, Celestina. I will be fine. We will be fine. And we understand. It would be safer if the vampire king will be away from us," he says so I nodded. And I am thankful that Maiah chose to be with Drew and he does not need to be alone going home. I just said goodbye to them before walking out the restaurant. I try to find King Zen's car and it is not that hard to find it because it is dominating. I walk towards the car. I try to open the door just to check if it is locked, and it isn't. So I climb in and sit in the front seat. And even though I have been here for a couple of minutes already, the whole car remains quiet. But I have never dared to look at him. And my plan is just to remain silent until he brings up of something to talk about. I do not know if he has plan on speaking but I will still remains silent.
