Zane POV
Stretching out, I slowly woke up, feeling well-rested and ready to start the day. Then I remembered what happened early this morning, and rolled over to grab my mate, only to find a cold empty bed. I sat up in a panic and reached over for my phone. The time was just after one in the afternoon, shocked at how late I had slept, which, by the way, was the best night’s sleep ever. Crawling out of bed and headed to the bathroom, time to get cleaned up and find out where my mate was. Where Mitch would send her to first, hopefully nothing too dangerous on the first day, as we scope out her abilities.
The first stop would be food, my stomach grumbling loudly, reminding me I had missed breakfast and needed filling fast.
