Zane POV
My stomach grumbling, woke me from my slumber. It was still daylight. I rolled over and checked my phone to see the time, and was surprised to see it was five-thirty. I threw my legs out of bed and sat rubbing the sleep from my eyes. I felt like crap, longer sleep would have been nice, but not practical at the moment.
Maybe after I grab some food, I can find my mate and climb back into bed, I enter the bathroom, empty my bladder, and brush my teeth, all the while thinking about the rogues that attacked us. It was the first group we had come across that had more than six. Are they increasing the patrol number or is this a one-off group out doing some scouting of their own?
