The mating bond was so strong, that it took me a while to be able to put all the new voices from the pack into the back of my mind, block out the white noise, and find a way not to have all of Zane’s emotional power over me. By this time, the shower was over, and we were outside Alpha’s office. I had everything under some sort of control, though some of Zane’s emotions were still leaking into me, but not so intense as before.
I was so relieved to see Dad in the office and relaxed into his familiar hug and the scent of my Dad. He has always been the one I went to, for comfort, my rock. He has been both mum and dad since mum died. Although Misty tried to help out when womanhood arrived, it was not the same as being comforted by my dad and siblings.
