We waited for the patrol to pass and then tried to move the item down the shaft, but they couldn’t move it from below, and we didn't seem to be able to pull it out, so I made a decision that annoyed Zane, but little he could do about it once I did it.
I lower myself down the shaft and settle on the top of the item, and slowly it moves lower, as I manipulate it side to side, then all of a sudden it gives way and I tumble down the rest of the way.
‘Zane, I am at the bottom, go back, I will coordinate our attacks from here, I have the mic and I can mind-link. It is a great solution. I am safe for now, please go back.’ I said to him in my mind-link.’
‘I don’t want to leave you here.’ Zane's voice was worried and frustration was felt through the bond.
