‘What do you mean you haven’t found Zane yet? He is still lying in the hospital, unconscious.’ Ezekiel answered my question with bafflement. Why did I not ask about my mate, before doing pack duties?
‘In the hospital?’ I whispered back in shock. I know Dad said he went to the hospital but did not make it sound serious.
‘Yes. Did you not know? I thought Jonathon had told you that he was in there.’ Ezekiel’s voice softened as he studied my face.
‘Dad said he was in hospital after a training issue and not to worry, I didn’t realize it was that bad, Dad never said it was bad.’ I fought not to cry as I thought about what my mate was going through.
