Chapter Two

Malhotra Villa.

"I never lie, Raj bhaisaab (brother) I have seen her and met them personally. Her father is the owner of the Murthy Empires while she has only one sibling who's already married! The family has deep culture and very renowned for their relationship with people and charity. Coming to the girl, I must not say anything for she's a gem of a person. She is a doctor and is very beautiful. Very well mannered, cultured and a family person! Rest is your call. I have gave a picture of Manik to them and here is her picture! I really need to buckle up for I have a function to attend" Rashmi, the matchmaker bid adieu to them and went away.

"Raj! I really loved her!! Look how beautiful she is! I love her for my son" Shreya adored the picture while Raj too gave an impressive look witnessing the picture.

"Yes!! She's the best for bhaiya (brother)..She's so pretty" Mukti hugged Shreya by her neck while everyone smiled.

Cabir entered the house and was about to enter his room when Raj interrupted "Cabir beta? (Son) "

Cabir smiled at the fatherly love "Yes Dad" "Are you tired champ?" Cabir smiled. He loved his adopted Dad who never differentiated between him and Manik. Well no one in the Malhotras did.

"No ofcourse not, Dad! Say nah" Cabir smiled and walked towards them in the living room when Shreya smiled and said "Beta! Look at her..We have selected her for Manik" She gave him the picture to which Cabir gave a *wow* look.

"We have selected her for Manik.." looked at the photo "Oh wow! She's really pretty..Wait..Is she Nandini Mur..?" Raj looked at him and said "Yes Nandini Murthy..You know her?"

"Yes! A friend of mine had got operated from her and he really liked the Doctor in her..And beside Dad, You know right! How nice the Murthys are? I mean! No media scandals and all?" Raj nodded in a yes while everyone gave an impressive smile "Just like us" Mukti smiled.

"Suhana beta! How's she?" Shreya took Suhana who came to the house with Sonakshi after school.

"Woww!! So beautiful" Sonakshi took the photo and gave an impressive "Maa! Khub Shundor (Very beautiful) " Shreya giggled at her and said "I know Sweetheart" Sonakshi looked at Raj and asked "For Manik?" To which he nodded.

"Dev! Look! For Manik" Dev who just came back from office took the photo and was quite impressed with her face "Good! Mom! Great choice"

"Wow! Full family approved! Now only the main lead has to give a nod" Shreya said making everyone laugh.

Murthy Villa.

"Vivek! I really like the guy! Seriously..He's perfect for Nandini" She served him the paratha.

"Well! Even I like him! But about being perfect, that time will say.But I know he's very qualified and bohot manners hai..I like him too" Vivek smiled.

"Mom! Even I like him! As far as I know him professionally, he's really a gem to his empire...Nandu ke liye I really like him a lot" Rithvik voiced out his opinion.

"Awle! Did Shubaan like his to-be uncle?" Divya took Shubaan while everyone giggled.

"Phu-Phu" He gave them a cheeky smile to which everyone giggled.

"Now we just have to talk to Nandini" Asha said to which everyone smiled.

10:00 PM.

Malhotra Villa.

Manik was fidgeting his fingers sitting on his bed. He wasn't sure maybe of marriage. But the way everyone expressed their opinion about Nandini Murthy, maybe she was really very good.

*Knock-Knock*

Manik smiled and said "Mom!! From when did you start knocking?"

"Well! Beta I am practising..You know I am sure of going to see your changed colours after marriage" Shreya smirked.

"Mom! You know nah! I would never change?" Manik couldn't understand her meaning.

"Ohho!! Really? I have seen cards turning, my son!! Will you not get much more romantic after you get married? After your marriage, we will have to come inside after taking permission only right? You know never or we would never want to see anything we don't want to" Shreya teased her son

"Mom! You are too much, let me tell you" Manik blushed the deepest shade of red to which Shreya giggled.

"Okayy baba! No more teasing..Now tell me how did you like the one we selected for you?" Shreya sat beside him.

"Woh..urm! I didn't see " Manik started playing with his fingers to overcome the nervousness building in him.

"Manik! You know nah! You will soon get married..if not Nandini then someone else..And you know! You will have to sacrifice a lot for maintaining a relationship" Shreya caressed his hairs as he placed his head on her lap.

"You are very very responsible and I am proud of you my champ" She kissed his hairs while Manik smiled and snuggled more to her owing to her motherly care.

"You will have to give away your heart to her! You will have to respect and care for her always for she will be leaving her

house for you, us!! You will have to keep your anger under control..though you are not at all impulsive..And then you will! How complete you will feel..You will see then! How blissful it will feel..Because you know! We will select an angel for our prince always" She kissed his head while he smiled and whispered "I love you mom, very very much!!"

"Accha! I should go now..Sleep well baccha" She bid him bye and was about to go when she turned to his side and said "Photo dekh le! Bohot sundar hai" And she went giggling leaving a blushing Manik behind.

Murthy Villa.

"Dad, you here?" Nandini sat on her bed when Vivek knocked.

Vivek entered and sat beside her to which she happily gave in and adjusted her head on his lap while he caressed her hairs.

"My princess has grown up so fast" He kissed her hairs while she smiled and snuggled to him.

"Did you see the photo? He's hot, no?" Vivek was and will always be the jolly father.

"Dad" She blushed to the darkest shade of red while he giggled. "You didn't see?"

She bit her lower lip And said "No" And she sighed.

"Do you know why did we select Manik for you?" Vivek asked to which Nandini looked at him and shook her head in a no.

"You are the princess of this house ..And for all of us, Manik is the right guy but the selection is up to you" Nandini smiled and snuggled to him more.

"You know doll, you will get married very soon.. And you will be a part of another house too where you will brighten up their lives too just like you do in here!" Nandini smiled but got a little upset knowing that she will be away from her family, soon.

"You will be keeping all your hopes attached to that very one person who will be your husband! Hopes which were attached to us. To maintain a relationship, sacrifices are to be made. Don't worry, even he will sacrifice but you will have to, a little more owing to the fact that you will have to adjust in a whole new environment..You should love your new family as much as you love us, doll! Then you will see, how well you manage both the houses just like your mother and Asha!" He kissed her forehead while she smiled and understood everything.

"Accha Papa ki Jaan! Aapki Mumma Jaan ke paas abb main jaoon..Aap rest lijiye (Okay, daddy's love! I will go to your mother now! You take rest!)" He kissed her forehead and was about to go when he turned around and said "By the way, if we go on looks, your family has selected a prince for you!" And went away leaving a blushing Nandini.

Nandini bit her lip and looked at the envelope lying on the table beside her bed. She with a fast beating heart took the envelope and uncovered the picture.



Nandini's POV

His eyes, as if looking at me. His smile as if smiling at me. Oh my freaking lord! Why is this heart beating so fast? Man! This guy isn't a human but a greek god. s**t. I am going to get married to this droolworthy guy. He looks so charming, rich and classy. The typical businessman face. Issh! Her weakness. That beard. He is so darn handsome. Freak!

Malhotra Villa.

Manik's POV.

I, fidgeting my fingers so as to overcome the building nervousness in me! Well, why am I so nervous? Maybe! Everyone gets nervous at this phase, took the envelope and uncovered the photo.



Oh my god. She's so damn beautiful. Her eyes, lowered and her smile. Freak! So charming. Man! Long hairs? Are you serious? That was my dream to get a girl with long hairs. s**t! A greek g oddess. She's so damn beautiful. My god.

And the duo kept looking at the pictures until sleep overtook them.
