During the party, Marc had met several of Graham and Sam’s neighbors and a few more coworkers of Sam’s, but he’d kept an eye out for Aiden, always aware of his location.
He’d tried to appear aloof, but when Aiden had caught him peeking for the second time and winked at him, he knew he’d been busted. Still, he kept his distance and mingled, ate a hot dog and tried some pasta salad.
After everyone had eaten, he’d helped Graham clean up the tables outside and toss out the used paper plates and cups, then had gone inside to find Aiden cornered by a pretty young woman with bright red hair.
