Our new pink-haired acquaintance looked like the perfect doll from the outline of her cheekbones to the contours of her fingertips. Why did I become fixated on her doll-like features? Perhaps I was bored from staring into space while the two eccentrics eyed each other without saying a word. She skipped over a long overdue self-introduction as she began to fiddle with the tray of soup that the Chinese waitress placed before each of us.
