It took me a while to process, but I definitely heard it. When we were in his apartment, he came close to me for some reason. I must have looked like I was lost in thought, which I was, so I didn't react immediately to what he said.
But, in fact, I certainly heard him say, 'I said that I was waiting for the day when we could be together, Leiya. Because I've always loved you.'
So, he still loves me. It made me really glad to hear that. For a second, I felt like I almost forgot about Daniel and was ready to jump into another relationship. It took all the self-restraint I had at that point to stop myself. There was something more important that I had to accomplish and I decided to put romance on hold for now. If he had been waiting all this time since junior high, then he could wait a while
