Chirping birds sang morning choruses, the waves of the ocean ebbed and flowed against the shore, lulling me to sleep under the warm sunlight that seeped through the overhanging canopy. I don't remember when I fell asleep, but I slept like a log. When I woke up this morning, it was as if the events over the week had passed through like a storm at night, leaving clear skies in its wake. I was more than happy about that. I felt less burdened while I enjoyed the rest of this vacation. I'm sure that Andrei must be happy that he didn't have to do any pole dancing like he promised, but I'll have to remind him that the promise has no expiration date.
