“In the summer we have a boat shed and facilities for fishing, picnics, and barbecues. Last year I built a Little League park so the little ones could compete with other packs, and we have a playground area for our pups. The pack hunts in season. We have venison and elk. We keep dairy cows for fresh milk and goats for cheese in heated barns. Some of the she-wolves started a co-op where they trade cheese and other products they make from our milk, and we have gardens for fresh vegetables that are canned or frozen for the winter. We also keep chickens for the table, and eggs. We raise turkeys and pigs during the year, so we have them for each home on the holidays. No animal is mistreated or gets left out in the cold in our compound.”
