CHAPTER SEVENTEEN He'd returned to the office once again to care for his beauties. Taylor Peltari stood by the row of beakers and beansprouts and cotton bedding, a ruler clutched in one hand as he leaned in, cautiously, measuring each of the tender sprouts. He tucked his tongue inside his cheek as he jotted down the height of the largest plant.
