At the store! She owned three stores. He checked the one here in Portland, but she was not there, no real surprise, and he was not expecting her to be here in Portland. He knew she had been at the store when Timothy had collected her. So she was not going to go back there.
Bradley booked Hadley onto a flight home to Montana. He couldn’t keep the girl out here with him, not while he needed to be actively searching for Piper, she was likely to wander off again, trying to take matters into her own hands, and that had not gone down so well.
