I walked in through the door and slumped on the couch. Avery, Christian and Barry were already there, watching TV and eating some noodles.
Fortunately, we had been able to rent the apartment still half furnished, so we got to keep the couch and TV. We had bought some blow up mattresses that we slept on. Christian and Barry shared one bedroom and Avery and I shared the other one. The rent wasn’t that expensive, and we were saving all the money we could.
“How did it go?” Avery asked and handed me a bowl.
I groaned and rubbed my face tiredly.
“That bad?” Christian muttered. “Did you get fired on your first day?”
