Date night
“ hey ashes the water tanks are here and the men are going to be here to help with the well tomorrow.” Adam said rushing inside where I was cleaning.
“ did you just call me ashes?” I replied growing because I didn’t like that nickname anymore because of what he did yesterday at breakfast.
“ yes ashes, come on we have some payments to make and some other things to do” Adam said dragging me out of there and into the yard where the men were unloading the tanks. I thanked them and gave them tips then called the workers for their Weekly payments. Once that was over I got some of the men to fill the tanks so if water was ever out, we would have water here for the animals. The crops were coming on nicely as well.
