The next day, I woke up at dawn, just like I used to on the island. Sunlight seeped through the curtains, bathing the bedroom in a warm glow as it welcomed me. I rose slowly, stretching and feeling a bit more refreshed after a long, peaceful sleep. I lingered there for a moment, savoring the cityscape visible through the gap in the curtains. I had to remind myself that I was in someone else's home, and though I felt like an outsider, the novelty of it all urged me out of bed.
So, rather than confining myself to my new bedroom, I decided to explore the penthouse. Since I'll be spending more time here from today onwards, it made sense to get acquainted with the place.
