I left the others asleep in bed with midnight only a few hours away and snuck into the library. I felt like I was missing the obvious when trying to fix Stein's spell on us. But even I had to admit the answer couldn't always be found in a book. Every book I opened gave me the same conclusion. Whatever was blocking our magic was internal rather than external. I felt good about me, my magic, and my relationship with Cassandra and the guys.
