“Go have lunch first, Rach. I’ve still got work to do,” Nolan told me.
I looked at him. “Are you sure? I can wait for you.”
“Positive. You have that meeting with Cam. I know you both have known each other longer than me, so I think you already know how punctual Cameron is. He won’t tolerate tardiness.” Oh, right. Mostly when he picked me up, Cameron would arrive before the time.
I nodded and said, “I’ll use the card from Knox, then.” I showed him the card.
“The steak must have gone now,” he chuckled.
“Nah, I’m not in the mood for that.” I stood up and collected my phone and purse when Cameron’s door was opened from the inside. The boss strolled out.
“Are you about to get your lunch downstairs, Miss Williams?” he asked.
