Lionel’s POV I am frozen at the question. I am completely caught off guard. I had not expected this direct confrontation. I am not ready for it. “I don’t-I don’t know what you’re talking about.” I stutter out. ‘i***t,’ I think to myself. Joseph is unrelenting. “Don’t pull that bullshit with me! It’s written all over your stupid f*****g face!” His disrespect angers me now. “Watch yourself. Don’t you speak to me that way.” But now Joseph is on a roll. I don’t understand the reason for his anger. All signs of joking and lightheartedness have disappeared. “I’ll say what the f**k I want when you’re being a complete i***t. How could you fall in love with her? Tell me!” My first response is to deny him. I do not have to explain myself to him. Not after his crude remark and now insane
