The buffalo were in a frenzy, only wanting to knock Anthony off the tree and kill him. However, with only three left and injured, they overestimated their strength. Despite their frenzied attacks on the large tree, it didn't break at all, and instead, the three buffalo seemed a bit dizzy.
Seizing the opportunity, Anthony leaped to the middle of the trunk, drew his military knife, and jumped down, rolling as he landed. The knife instantly stabbed the buffalo closest to him.
